dhangars are the pastoralists of maharastra they lived in the central part of Maharashtra they were mainly shepherds, buffalo herders and weavers they move from the dry forest , the rainy season which provides them the filed to graze their cattle and also to harvest the bajra sown by them. and by November they reach the konkan region where they are very well welcomed because their cattle provides manure to the field which makes the field very fertile and then they return back to their dry forests
