Tyrian’s counterattacks kept Alexander and his people out of Tyre city for seven months. The counterattacks resulted in Alexander losing many men. However, this did not deter Alexander from stopping the causeway construction. This was completed successfully and helped Alexander and his troops to enter the city and cause a major destruction. Most of the inhabitants of the city were made slaves. This was done with the intention of making it clear to other cities what they could expect if they resisted Alexander’s attack.
