The stories of Belgium and Sri Lanka reveal that in spite of being the democratic countries both countries dealt with the power sharing differently like :
=> In Belgium the leaders realised that the unity of the country is possible only by respecting the feelings and interests of different communities and regions.
Such a realisation resulted in mutually acceptable arrangements for sharing power.
=> Contrary to it, Sri Lanka shows that if a majority community wants to force its dominance over others and refuses to share power, it can undermine the unity of the country.
I hope it will help you..

Belgium : - they adopted the policy of power-sharing. - they gave an equal power to all communities ..minor an major doesn't matter. - it solved the problem.
Sri Lanka: - they adopted the policy of majorities. - they gave the preference to the majority Sinhala group alone disregarding the majority. - it only increases the problem.
hope it's helpful
