Explanation: In the short story 'The Bond Of Love' by Kenneth Anderson, Bruno was a the baby sloth bear who was captured by the narrator when he was passing through the sugarcane fields near Mysore. He gifted it to his wife who named him 'Bruno' and put a colored ribbon around his neck.

Bruno received immense love and affection from everyone in the family including the two Alsatian dogs and the tenants' children. It ate anything and everything that was offered to it. It spent its time in playing, running  into the kitchen and going to sleep in the beds of the family members.
