Brutus justifies it by giving a speech
Brutus justifies murdering Caesar by saying that though he loved him dearly but, he loved Rome even more. He says that by killing Caesar he was attempting to protect and save Rome from tyranny and oppression. In his opinion, Caesar had become ambitious and wanted to establish a monarchy after being crowned. Hence, he was left with no other choice but to kill Caesar in order to save Rome and the fellow Romans.
