How did brutus justify ceaser's assassination

he was satisfied with the ceaser's assassination because he loved ceaser but not more than rome

he justifies it by saying that anyone who loved caesar, brutus love for caesar was no less than him. But he loved his country , Rome, more than caesar. And as caesar was a threat to his country, Brutus assassinated him.
