First, when the mariner shot the albatross, they critized him for kiling the bird- Albatross that was considered as a good omen which helped them to escape from the land of mist and snow. Later, they thought that the Albatross had brought the mist and snow or the bad weather conditions so they praised the mariner for kiling the bird.
