Explanation:

different groups participated in the NCM by interpreting swaraj in different ways. While peasants thought that swaraj meant no land revenue and freedom from tulakdars, Plantation workers thought that it meant getting to go back to their villages. Similarly workers thought it meant reduced  labour hours and increased payment, and some villagers thought of it as fight against the forest laws.

Difference between NCM and CDM

While NCM was stopped by gandhiji due to increased violence, CDM died on its own. NCM meant boycott of non corporation with the british and boycott of their goods, CDM meant to not only non corporate but also to break british laws
