Dr. Verghese Kurien is one such person who has increased the financial condition of the cattle owning farmers. Co-operative societies were started by him and by them he collected the milk from the cattle owners.
Then he distributed them to the public and introduced daily wages for the workers. Operation Flood made India the “world's largest milk producer” from a “milk-deficient nation”, which ‘doubled milk’ available per person. So, he is called father of “White Revolution”.
