The Avada Kedavra curse hit Harry but it couldn't kill him instead it had to destroy something else and that was the Horcrux. Voldemort had Lilly's and Harry's blood flowing in his veins so this did not allow Voldemort to kill Harry. He had become kind of like a Horcrux for Harry.

The reasons are:
1.Harry didn’t die, because the Avada Kedavra curse can kill only one soul at a time. Therefore, it did destroy Voldemort’s soul fragment that lived inside Harry, but not Harry himself.
2.Harry was protected by Lily’s sacrifice, so Voldemort couldn’t kill him.
3.The Elder Wand was Harry’s at the time, therefore it couldn’t bring itself kill its master.
