It was because of her teacher ms. anne sullivan she could read. Ms. sullivan made her touch objects and then following it wrote the name of the object. She believed in practical teaching especially with nature, that's why she tried to teach her new things by connecting it to nature. It was really hard for Helen to learn by this process because this process was really slow, but she didn't let her disabilities win over her.
