The industrialisation process gave birth to Imperialism. The era of industrialisation began with the European countries which needed two things: raw material for their industries and market for their finished products. Thus began the time of colonisation to extract maximum raw material from the colonial nations and dump their produce. Thus, imperialism can be called as the 'ill-begotten child of industrialisation'.
