In the 19th century there was an expansion of wheat production in the USA, also it had a really good export market, people were growing it and the demand increased so the prices of wheat also rose.

At the time of the boom, it became a nightmare for the country because of the dust storms around the Southern Plains. because of the blizzards, there were monstrous waves of muddy which were not suitable for the crops.

Due to the dust storms and blizzards, the fish were also dead, the reason behind these dust storms was the wipe out of the landscape and the soil which helped grow the crops was stripped off.

This incident made the whole region a dust bowl and the wheat cultivation which was at peak at that time was devastated and this was turned into a nightmare for a whole nation.
