rani laxmi bai was the queen of jhansi`.she was the one of the bravest freedom fighter
when the revolt of 1857 started the mutineers approaced jhansi for the help of laxmi bai .she provided them with money ,guns and elephant. she fought bravely but she was captured when some traitors opened the gates but then she escaped from the fortress during night .she fled to kalpi where tatya tope joined her .they put a brave resistance but were defeated .then they captured scindias who were loyal to british. laxmi bai died fighting in the war .
