- In 1969, he travelled to Champran in Bihar to inspire the peasants to struggle against the oppressive plantation of Indigo.
- In 1917, he organised a Satyagraha to support the peasants of the Kheda district of Gujarat who were affected by crop failure and plague epidemic and could not pay the revenue.
- In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi went to Ahmedabad to organize Satyagraha Movement amongst cotton mill workers.
