HEY DEAR.....
HERE'S YOUR ANSWER⬇
The tiger was killed by an accident. When Mrs Packletide shot, the bullet hit the goat and the tiger died due to a heart failure. So it was Miss Mebbin who found out that truth and blackmailed Mrs packletide that she would say about this to Mrs Loona Bimberton and it would affect Mrs Packletide's vanity. Hence to keep her mouth shut, Mrs Packletide had to buy her a cottage. And to remember this incident and also to remind her, she planted so many tiger lilies.
I HOPE YOU FIND IT HELPFUL.

Heya mate
The answer is here

♢ Miss Mebbin came to know that Mrs Packletide had arranged the tiger hunt just to prove herself better than Loona Bimberton.

☆☆ Therefore, Miss Mabbin blackmailed Mrs Packletide to get the weekend cottage to keep her mouth shut about knowing the fact that the tiger had not been killed by her actually and had died due to heart failure.

And , She has also planted tiger lilies in the garden because they were symbolic of how she had managed to get the cottage, that is due to a tiger...

hope it helps
