put -1 and 2 in the 2 polynomials and get the remainders P and Q in terms of a substitute values in 2P+Q=6 get the answer
place x= -1 in 1st polynomial we get 5a-6 which will be the remainder P now put x=2in second we will get 4a-10 which is the second remainder Q now 2p+q=6 so 2(5a-6)+4a-10=6
10a-12+4a-10=6
14a=28 or a=2

PurvaSharma: Oh come on! Tell me !
