How did Miss Sullivan teach Helen to spell words into her hand ?

As Helen was a blind and dump person since childhood ... she can't explain her thoughts and feelings through words ... There was an urgent need of an unusual method which could help Helen to communicate with others and that method was gifted to her by his teacher Miss Sullivan.. She taught her the way to spell words one by one on her palm so that she could understand her words...
