1)In India , democracy prevails which creates a healthy competition which do not allow various social tensions to become explosive or violent.
2) No society can fully resolve differences but it can respect those differences and negotiate them.Democracy is best suited for this purpose.
3) In a Democracy , there is no majority rule but the majority works with the minority to represent the general view.
4) Democracy gives all the people a fair chance to remain in power or to exercise power.
5) So far , democracy has proved to be successfull in accomodating social differences which is its definite plus point.
