Perseus used Medusa’s head to slay the dragon threatening princess Andromeda and slay King Polydectes and his party guests in order to keep him from marrying his mother. He then threw the head into the sea where it goes around making coral

Explanation:

Perseus was the demigod son of Zeus and  princess Danae, destined to kill his grandfather Acrisius of Argos and take over his kingdom. King Polydectes of Seriphos, who had taken a fancy to Danae, challenged Perseus to fetch Medusa's head. Hermes the god of messengers gifted him a magic sack to put Medusa's head in, a helmet that could turn him invisible and a winged sandals to aid him on his quest. Perseus then went east to the grey sisters' island. Here he received information to medusa's lair and the Godess Athena gifted him a sword and a polished sheild. He used these gifts to slay medusa and take her head. But from her blood rose a winged horse and a golden warrior, who was to be named Chrysaor later. Medusa had been pregnant with the god Posiedon's offspring and had been unable to give birth due to her curse. He then used thhe head to kill a sea monster and saving princess Andromeda's life. He married her and took her to the island of seriphos and presented Medusa's head to the king, who turned to stone because didnt believe perseus and looked at the head. Then he returned to Argos. His grandfather on having known that perseus was on his way, fled the city. Perseus ruled Argos and lived happily ever after
