Answer:

Prashant took the initiative to help the people of his village and became the leader of the village. He organised a group of youth and elders in the camp and pressurised the grain merchants to give rice for the hungry people. Then his group gathered the branches of the fallen trees to cook the rice and fed the victims. The group cleaned the shelter of filth, urine, vomit and floating carcasses. They also tended the wounds and fractures of the injured people.

The youth task force deputed some children to lie down in the sand with utensils on their stomach so that the passing helicopters could be communicated that they are hungry. Prashant persuaded the women in the camp to look after the orphaned children and work for the 'food-for-work' programme started by an NGO. He also organised sports events for the children.

Hope it helps you...
