Answer:

Gautama Buddha began his life as Prince Siddhartha Gautama. He grew up in a safe environment and was later sent to learn about the Hindu sacred scriptures. Four years later, he returned home and married a princess with whom he had a son. Together, they lived as royalty for ten years. At the age of 25, when Siddhartha Gautama was out hunting, he came across a sick man, an aged man, a funeral procession and then a monk begging for alms. These sights had moved so deeply that he went out into the world as a beggar to seek enlightenment with concern to the sorrows he had witnessed. Seven years hence, he settled under a fig tree where he vowed to stay until enlightenment came to him. Enlightened after seven days, he renamed the tree as the Bo Tree or the Tree of Wisdom and began to teach and share his understandings. This led to him being known as the Buddha or The Enlightened One.
