The bishop was very kind hearted man.he gave food and place to sleep to convict.but still when the convict steal the bishop's candlestick and was caught by the police and was taken back to bishop the bishop saved his life by saying that the convict is his friend and the candle stick was given by him to convict.

This enevolves the convict into a good man.
