The other sailors aboard with the ancient mariner blamed him for bringing them bad weather and hard luck. They were extremely superstitious and believed that the killing of the albatross was the bad omen. They did not commit a sin but however, they were fickle minded and changed their decision several times based on the situation. Instead of handling the situation together they put the blame on him .This was a big flaw in their personality as they couldn't keep the balance of their justice for which they too were punished.
