1 In 1600 EIC came to port of Surat for fine muslin, cotton yarn and other textile facility.With growing demand they established Surat as trade center as it was sea port too.

2. In search of traditional spices British East India company came to Madras and with establishment of another center

3. In Search of silk, indigo , tea and opium BEIC came to Calcutta and established a factory.
