the english exploit the farmers in many different ways. they have increased tha tax and many of the farmers throught India were not able to pay them.
the british forced the indian farmers to grow a commercial crop- indigo (Indigo was a plant from which a blue pigment was produced this blue pigment was used to give Shine on cotton clothes during that time on cotton clothes) in their lands.the farmers did not grow rice, wheat or any other crops but indigo.
Thousands of landless labourers and poor farmers were forced to sow indigo instead of other crops.
the british reduced import duty on goods manufactured in England and imported to India.
