Majoritarianism regards to the control of a group of majority, also indicating the powers utilized by those who are a member of the majority, particularly Sinhalas in Sri Lanka.   The Tamil people perceived themselves as alienated because the administration of Sri Lanka did not recognized their preferences and scrutinized them. All the rights were only possessed by the Sinhala community. Thus, the political reformations made the Tamil preachers estranged.
