when wall street exchange crashed in USA there was a decline in USA's economy. people made many attempts to sell there shares. on 24 October 13 million shares were sold which led to the starting of the great depression. India had took some loans from USA for support but this support was withdrawn when USA's economy declined. factories shut down, exports fell. in India people became unemployed. you can see the youth hanging placards around there necks saying, ''willing to do any job.'' as the factories were closed, no one buyed goods from them so they could not a source of income because which farmers started suciding and criminal activities started taking place.
