British industries didn't let Indian industries grow; merchants and weavers were suppress. But, as the first world war begin, the British industries engaged in producting war equipments,etc. During this, India industries had a chance to save their origin. So, India Industry bloomed during this period and after that the English industries didn't regained their position.
