The printing press used a movable type that could be set into forms called blocks.
It printed two side-by-side pages at a time. Gutenberg invented a printing press
to print on paper, and one to print on vellum. Vellum is a fine parchment paper
that is made from the hide of calves. The first book to be printed was the
Gutenberg bible.
