⭕The knowledge of ancient texts was used as a guideline by the reformers to promote the new laws.
⭕Whenever the reformers wanted or wished to challenge a practice that was not good for the society and was likely to have a harmful effect, they tried to find a reference in ancient sacred text that could support their point of view.
