How did the narrator feel after he consulted in the medical dictionary in the British museum?

THE BRITISH MUSEUM TO READ UP THE TREATMENT FOR THIS AILMENT FOR WHICH HE WAS NOT SURE.HE FEEL VERY HYPOCONDEIC AFTER CONSULTING  TO THE BRITISH MUSEUM.

The narrator is a hypochondriac. He thought he had every disease except for housemaid's knee. Firstly he felt kind of hurt as to why only the housemaid's disease is not in him. Although some time later he thought that he had every other malady given there and felt less selfish. He wonders he is such an interesting case .He thought that if some medical students knew him they do not need to test different people for different diseases. He says he was a hospital in  himself. Next he thought if would live long and tried to find his pulse which he could not. Finally he goes to a doctor.
