Answer:

The resolution here was taken to use ONLY INDIAN made goods instead of British. This had definitely hurt the British Economic front and thereby force them to concede to popular demand- ANNULMENT OF BENGAL PARTITION.

So, basically a parallel “boycott movement” had also started wherein British goods and services like schools, courts were all boycotted.

The Boycotting movement propagated throughout Bengal where Youths picketed shops selling foreign goods. Women refused foreign bangles and utensils.

Because of all the Boycotting of foreign goods, traditional activities were now given much more focus. Folk theatre forms and Melas were organised that were creatively used as a means of reaching out to the mass.

As “ self-reliance” was an important aspect of this movement, attempts were made to become “self-reliant” in various fields especially in education and business enterprises catering to day to day needs.

Therefore, this period saw a mushrooming of Swadeshi textile mills, banks, insurance companies, It bought cultural revival all together.

More importantly, conscience of people at large was awakened and they were prepared to take bold political steps to challenge the British supremacy in all spheres.
