People and colonial government both reacted to civil disobedience movement.When Gandhiji wrote Letter to Lord Irwin about fulfilment of 11 demands and gandhiji tell to him also that remove tax to salt.Irwin not agreed with this demands.So gandhiji along with 78 followers started dandi march.Along with this March he spread his idea among people and people supported Gandhiji.
He decided to call off this movement because many people along with freedom fighters were sent to prison when he was in London at round table conference.
