Unlike the French peasants who respected their nobles and even fought for them at times, the Russian peasants did not like their nobles..The nobles got to their position through their service to the Tzar...The peasants wanted the land to be transferred to them...Moreover the Russian Peasants had the socialist trait of periodically pooling their land by their commune called mir.Then the land Was divided amongst them according to their needs.
