The spread of electricity helped the farmers in following ways:
>The water pumps were used to irrigate the farms which took less efforts and more output.
>Earlier they used the Persian wheels for irrigation which was not very effective.
>Now their crops were not entirely dependent upon the monsoon.
This is how with the use of electricity they got rid of the physical labour that they had to put into several chores...

the spread of electricity has helped the farmers in Palampur village by the following ways:
1. most of the houses now have the electric connections where they do their basic needs.
2. electricity helps to run the tube wells in the field which help the farmers in irrigation.
3.it is also used in different business.
