The occurrence of World War I had a significant impact on US domestic the American civilian population. During the time when the U.S. entered in the World War I, the daily life of the civilian effected to an extent that the men were drafted and sent abroad, and factories were supplied with women (in lack of male workforce). The life for children was greatly affected by World war I affected, as more than 11,6000 members of the United States died in the war, these children became orphans. Though women achieved the right to vote, other groups were subject to systematic repression.
