Answer:

The primary difference between barter and currency systems is that a currency system uses an agreed-upon form of paper or coin money as an exchange system rather than directly trading goods and services through bartering.

Explanation:

To have the barter system for transacting, all people in the society need to have some productions. This means that if you produce nothing, you will gain nothing.

Sounds nice, if the society has lively men. It was common, in the ancient societies, to barter, because, at that time, many people were farmers, weavers, blacksmiths, jewelers, and so on. In that society, you couldn’t find someone, whose job was just to say poem (like a poet), because he didn’t do anything physical.

Generally speaking, in the barter system, there were no place for intellectual products. You couldn’t sell your thoughts, writings, ideas,… and also never could buy them from the others. There was no place for writers, poets, speakers, creative people in the society, while they produce nothing. They could resist, only if someone donates them.

So, it is possible to have the barter system now, but we should omit many people and jobs, from the society!
