How disagreements have strengthened knowledge in physics?

Disagreements have always led to a growth in knowledge of any subject. Not all theories proposed by someone are accepted without any opposition to it. The opposing scientist puts forward points and theories against the proposed one in which she tries to solve the problems arising with the proposed theory and model and this ultimately leads to the growth in the knowledge of the subject.
