during swimming you push the water backward with your body and that's why you move forward this is based on the principle of the Newton's third law of motion do not forget to Mark me as brainliest

This is due to Newtons 3rd law of motion , when the  swimmer pushes the  water so from 3rd law  of motion the water pushes the swimmer with equal and opposite force
