Amoeba is a heterotroph with holozoic mode of nurtition.
First the amoeba searches for its food. When it senses its food, it captures it by using its pseudopodia (meaning - "false feet"). lts ingestion is of two types — Phagocytosis (intake of food in solid form) & Pinocytosis (intake of food in liquid form).
After being captured, the food vacule is formed and the food vacule secreates some digestive enzymes for the breakdown of food.
After the breakdown of food, it begins to digest and eliminates the undigested food through a process called exocytosis.

HEY MATE!!!
■ Amoeba takes in food using temporary finger like extension of the cell surface which fuse over the food particle forming a food vacuole.
■ Inside the food vacuole, complex substances are broken down into simpler ones which then diffuse into the cytoplasm.
■ The remaining undigested material is moved to the surface of the cell and thrown out.
HOPE IT HELPS YOU!!!
