An amoeba has pseudopodium. These are also known as false feet. The amoeba engulfs it's prey using this. The prey is egested, digested and excreted out by vacuoles present in amoeba.

An amoeba eats food by one of the process of endocytosis called as phagocytosis. The amoeba makes a projection called as pesudopodia which helps it to trap and engulf the food.
