Aquatic plants are growing in such a way that.. they adapt a thick waterproof structure on themselves to be avoid decaying by living in water..they have thick cuticle tissue .. most of the aquatic plants you have seen .. have different types of structure if you compared them to normal plants

Aquatic plants have normal structure as terrestrial plant except some specialization
Explanation:
Aquatic plants have following characters which help them to survive in water:-
- The root system is poorly developed.
- The leaves are ribbon shaped so that they can bend with the flow of water rather than being broken.
- The leaves and other plant parts are covered with wax that prevent the plant and its parts from being wet.
