1 if the molecules r far apart then it moves easily so its state is gaseous ...its a state of matter.
2 if the molecules r in some distance and it can attain the intermolecular force then it is in a liquid state of matter..
if the molecules attain a higher intermolecular force of attraction then its state is solid ...it cannot cgange its shape of its own..
