how do autotrophs differ from heterotrophs?

Autotrophs are those who can make their food by themselves. Eg plants ( by photosynthesis)
Amd hetrotrophs are those organisms who cant make their own food and they are dependes on autotrophs. eg animals.

autotrophs can make their own food .
there are two types of autotrophs -
1) photoautotrophs - prepare food by photosynthesis

2) chemoautotrophs- prepare food by the help of chemicals

eg - BGA , plants

heterotrophs depend on the autotrophs directly or indirectly for food .
