the reasons are there are some biotic factors like pest, insects and some sort of diseases. will affect the crop production. pest occur damage crop production by feeding. even things like weeds is also affect crop production by competiting with important crop for use of nutrients and light. abiotic factors are nothing but temperature , wind, air, rain and etc. it heavily affect the production by through natural disasters like droughts, and floods. so these are the reasons for the biotic and abiotic factor affect crop production. hope it helps.
