At first, books are nothing more than just fuel for the fire. A senseless jumble of words that lack any meaning. But later our protagonist realises that books are an uncensored, ungoverned medium of expression. Freedom to write anything you want without needing someone else's approval. They contain philosophy, science and some of the best stories the world has.
