We define overlapping as when any one social difference overlap with another social difference then the conflicts is created by this it is called overlapping. And one of its best example is northern Ireland, where there was a sub groups of Christians, Catholics was represented by nationalist and other sub group was represented by unionists, due to this social difference among people's this led to a civil war many peoples was kill during the war and conflicts are created due to their class, religion and differences overlap with each other.

Class and religion overlap with each other when conflict prevails upon people belonging to the same religion but different classes or economic status in society.
On taking the example of Northern Ireland where the population is divided into two major sects of Christianity is the roman Catholics and protestants. The Catholics have faced discrimination since age old times because of low economic status or class. The Protestants,on the other hand, are economically rich who look down upon the Catholics because of their poverty. This had created conflict between the Protestants and the Catholics.Hence,we can see in Northern Ireland class and religion overlap with each other.
