How do cold winds lower the temperature?

Collisions with air molecules will lower our body temperature, particularly the colder the air and the faster the wind speed. When it's colder than our skin temperature outside, our body loses heat not only by radiating it, but by transferring energy to the air molecules that collide with our skin.
