dolphins are not like normal fishes. they are aquatic mammals.unlike other fishes they have lungs as their respiratory organs for breathing and when once inhaled they can be underwater for a very long time. the spray of water coming out of a hole is just because the dolphin exhales. that hole acts like the nostrils which we have.
